“The Voice of the Freshman Class”

The Freshman Advisory Council is made up of an elite group of freshmen who dedicate themselves to insure a smooth transition for first year students at Kent State University.  The purpose of the FAC is to provide communication between First Year personnel and the freshman class, aid in the development of freshman-specific activities and events, and keep the class informed of class-specific and campus-wide events and information.  The FAC also fosters a sense of belonging between the Kent State University community and the freshman class.

Kite RunnerThe Summer Reading Program is designed to welcome and connect incoming students to the Kent State community. Reading the book will provide a common ground for you to share with other students. You will discuss the book on campus during the “Week of Welcome” with faculty, students, and staff. You can also begin the conversation now with your fellow 2012 classmates. Tell us who was your favorite character and why? What part of the book did you enjoy the most? Was the ending what you expected?
